Our Committees
Academic Achievement and Opportunity Committee
This committee is responsible for providing advocacy, analysis, advice, strategies and plans for improving all Black students access to educational opportunities and resources in the PPS district. The committee is charged with identifying, reviewing, and assessing issues affecting Black student academic achievement within the policies, curriculum, and practices of the PPS district.
Finance Committee

This committee is responsible for providing financial analysis, advice and oversight of the organization's budget, financial procedures and policy in coordination with the Treasurer. The sole responsibility of the finance committee is to ensure the organization is operating with the financial resources it needs to fulfill its mission.
Membership and Community Engagement

This committee is responsible for developing strategies and plans in coordination with other committees and the Executive Board, to keep members active, preserve retention and to increase the organization’s engagement with the community to the benefit of our mission to be of service to all Black children in the Princeton Public School District.
Advocacy and Policy Committee

This committee is responsible for developing and executing strategies and plans, organizing advocacy efforts, and developing policy positions, in collaboration with relevant committees and the Executive Board, consistent with the organization’s mission to advocate for and support Black children.
Fundraising Committee
Valerie Henry, Chair
This committee is responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all of the organization’s fundraising efforts in accordance with the organization’s financial needs and plans. The committee is tasked to coordinate all fundraising efforts with the relevant organization committees, including but not limited to the Finance and Programming Committees, and the Executive Board. A Chair or Co-chair of the fundraising committee is responsible for serving on the finance committee.
Programming Committee

This committee is responsible for the creation, development, execution, oversight, and evaluation of programs designed to promote and fulfill our mission to advocate for and support Black Children. The committee reports to the Executive Board and will coordinate with other committees as appropriate.
